Related project deals
On this tab, you can manage the relationship between a given project deal and other project deals. The relationship between parent and child project deals in CDESK reflects the hierarchy of tasks within a project—a parent project deal represents the main unit (e.g., the entire project), while subordinate project deals are its sub-parts or phases that are handled separately, but their results are included in the parent project deal. For each project deal, you can specify an unlimited number of subordinate project deals, but only one parent project deal. A parent/sub-project deal can be created directly in this tab (via the “” + “Add” button), created from a template (via the “” + “Add from Catalog” button), or added from existing ones (via the “” + “Select Project Deal” button). You can cancel an existing link via the context menu for individual subordinate/superior project deals → x Remove Link. Via the same context menu → Edit, you can edit the linked project deal.
Project Log
It serves as a quick overview of the current status of a project deal. It provides a summary of the most important information in the project deal plan, including key details and activities. It allows users to add notes regarding the status of the project deal—similar to a construction log. This allows all involved parties to see how the individual stages of the project deal are progressing. A new entry can be added by clicking the + icon located next to the Add an entry to the log label.
A form with two text fields will then appear: Current status as of and Next steps. After filling them out, save the entry by clicking the icon . You can edit an existing entry by clicking the icon
.
Financial Statements and Planning
The Work Planning section allows you to plan human resources. If a specific number of hours has been allocated to a project deal (in the Planning Summary), you can distribute these hours among the project team, the project manager, and the person responsible for the project. After adding an hourly rate (separately for each person), the labor cost for the given number of hours is automatically calculated. The remaining hours to be scheduled, the weighted average hourly rate, and the remaining gross margin to be utilized are also automatically calculated.
Fulfilments
This tab displays fulfilments linked to the given project deal, to a request, or to a task — where that request or task is linked to the project deal. Fulfilments are used to record the work performed within a given project deal.
The card allows you to add deliveries (via the + Add fulfilment button in the upper-left corner of the card), internal deliveries (via the + Add Internal Delivery button next to the button for adding a delivery) linked to a specific project deal, creating billing deliveries from internal ones (via the checkbox in the row containing the internal delivery), and via the context menu , you can edit deliveries, create copies, or add internal deliveries under billing ones.
Requests
This tab displays requests that list the specific project deal in the Project deal column.
This tab allows you to perform the following actions with requests: create a new request (assigned to a specific project deal) via +Add or +Add from catalog; select a request via > Select Request; search, filter, and group. The context menu provides access to a new filter, default filters, data export to XLS, setting up automatic export, or deleting drafts. The context menu
in the request row itself provides the following options: Edit, Duplicate, Discussion, Discussion from other requests, Add fulfilment, Log, Copy, Take over.
Tasks
This tab displays the tasks linked to the given Project Deal. You can add a new task by clicking the + icon. Through the context menu you can edit tasks, or add fulfilments linked to a given task.
Project documentation
The Project Documentation tab allows you to upload and view files related to a project deal, whether they are documents, plans, or other files. You can upload files by clicking the “” icon, which opens a new window where you can browse and select a file from your disk, or by dragging and dropping files onto this icon (drag-&-drop).
In addition to the files uploaded in this way, the Project Documentation section also displays files uploaded in the Basic Data tab and files from Tasks and Requests, provided that the Project Documentation checkbox was selected after they were uploaded (this checkbox is selected by default).
By default, the displayed files are grouped by the records to which they are assigned (Basic Data, Tasks, Requests). In addition to grouping, you can expand and collapse the list of files, and files can be removed from the project documentation by clicking the checkbox Project documentation. However, they can only be deleted via the Task or Request to which they are assigned, or via the Basic Data tab.
History
On this tab, you will find information about the creation of the Project Deal and any changes made to it.
