CDESK MCP allows you to work with real-time data in CDESK by asking the AI assistant questions in your own words – rather than clicking through screens and filters. This guide will help you get started. For more details, see the sections ‘How it works’ and ‘Limited access to the AI assistant’.
A beta version is currently available. It is comprehensive enough for practical use and saves changes to your live CDESK with your custom permissions. It does not yet cover every part of CDESK – projects, work orders, approval, the Knowledge base and the calendar are not currently included. Further fields will be added in future releases, and for anything the assistant cannot handle, please apply CDESK itself.
Installing the MCP server in CDESK does not change anything – CDESK MCP uses the same connection and the same permissions as the CDESK web interface already does. If you decide you do not want CDESK MCP, simply remove the connector from your AI application. Nothing will remain of it.
Possible uses
Once you’re connected, you won’t have to keep clicking through screens – you can simply ask:
| Instead of | Ask |
|---|---|
| Open the list of requests, set three filters and sort it | “Which of this company’s requests are still open and which are overdue?” |
| Click through the company, its tickets and its open tasks | “Give me a summary of what’s going on with this company before my meeting.” |
| They filled in a new task form | “Create a task for Peter to check the printer at the branch; date is Friday.” |
| They read through a long discussion on the ticket | “What exactly was the customer complaining about in this ticket?” |
| They were manually going through the tickets from the previous month | “Has anyone reported any problems with the VPN recently?” |
