There are three ways to run an MCP server. All three provide you with exactly the same set of 64 tools.

- Cloud CDESK MCP is the quickest way to get started. We manage the MCP server for you, so there’s nothing to install: simply enter https://mcp.cdesk.eu into your AI application and log in using your CDESK account. For detailed information, see the ‘Connecting to the CDESK MCP Cloud’ section of the documentation.
- Your company’s server is the same service, only it is run by your company. Your system administrator will install the MCP server from our GitHub, once and for all. Choose this option if data from CDESK must not leave your own systems. For detailed information, see the ‘Running on your own server’ section of the documentation.
- Your custom computer keeps everything in one place, but the MCP server then serves only you and only the AI applications installed on your computer. You install it yourself from our GitHub, and you’ll need a CDESK account without 2FA. For detailed information, see the ‘Running on your own computer’ branch of the documentation.
