The Debugging tab is used to troubleshoot connection and call issues and is available immediately after selecting the 3CX provider. It is not common to apply it – only enable these tools temporarily or at the request of support.
Logging communication with the PBX – by selecting ‘Log every request to 3CX’, all communication with the PBX (method, URL, body, status, duration) will be logged in the threecx_<ADMIN_ID> channel. Login details and tokens are always masked. Logging generates a large number of records, so please disable it once the issue is resolved.
Live calls (test) – clicking the ‘Start Monitoring’ button retrieves calls on extensions and lines every 2 seconds that the API client is monitoring via Call Control. Columns: Extension, Status (text from 3CX, e.g. Ringing, Connected), Caller, Line and callid. Monitoring is stopped by clicking the ‘Stop Monitoring’ button or by switching to a different tab. Without Call Control, it will end with the message ‘Failed to retrieve call status from 3CX’.
Console logs – selecting ‘Log notifications and sounds to the console’ option displays information about notifications, sounds, dialling and the call handling form in the browser console. This applies to all users and is not related to logging communication with the PBX. Disabled by default.
