Asset transfer protocols are used to document the movement of your assets. You can find these protocols in the main menu under Asset Management → Handover protocols or Disposal protocols.
Creating a handover protocol
You can create a handover protocol by clicking the + Add button. A list of fields follows. The “” dropdown is used to specify the relationship of the transferring party, with two options:
The transferring party is Company (you can also enter the person responsible for the transfer) or the transferring party is person. Fill in the fields according to your scenario. The Transferor fields (including company) serve as a filter for the list of assets displayed. Only items assigned to the given user/company are displayed.
- Transferee – the person to whom the asset is being transferred
- Name – option to enter a name for the protocol. If the name is left blank when saving the log, a name will be automatically generated from the submitted items.
- Note in the log – option to add a note that will also be displayed in the log.
Selecting items for the protocol
Selecting items for the protocol works on the same principle as selecting columns in lists. From the right-hand asset list, use the left arrow to select the items to be recorded on the handover protocol.
Add a custom item
If the protocol needs to record the transfer of an asset that is not listed in the asset register, you can use the Add custom item button. Enter the name of the asset and, if desired, add a description. Confirm the addition of the free item by clicking ✓ at the end of the line. To remove a free item, click the X button at the beginning of the line.
